24-hours express bus service connects Pulkovo airport terminals I &II with the center of St.Petersburg. 27.09.2011 18:25

Two express buses are now running between Pulkovo airport terminals I & II and the center of St. Petersburg.  Express bus number K-800 runs around the clock from the Pulkovo-I terminal to the center of the city with stops at following subway stations: "Moskovskaya», «Technological Institute», «Dostoevskaya». Express bus runs according to the schedule, with the interval of 20-40 minutes.
Commercial bus number-900 which runs from Pulkovo-II terminal follows similar itinerary. Transportation is carried out on IVECO buses, equipped with comfortable seating, air-conditioning system, information monitors and with high luggage shelves capacity.  




45 New Hotels are planned to be build in Sochi by 2013. 26.09.2011 22:39

By the year 2013 the organizers of «Winter Olympic Games 2014» in Sochi will launch 45 hotels with more than 27 000 rooms of different categories. Approximately 10% of hotels will get  5* category, 30% - Category 4 * and others will meet 3* level. As required by the IOC, the greater bulk of the hotels should be put into operation no later than June 2013. Moreover, all hotels by this period should draw to cooperation or create their own professional management companies.

On 3rd of September Moscow Fine Art Pushkin Museum opened exhibition «Salvador Dali». 25 paintings, 90 graphic works, unique archival photographs, for the first time are presented here. The original collection has arrived straight from Theatre-Museum of Dali in Figueres.
The cross-cutting theme of the exhibition, that connects art of Salvador Dali with Russia, becomes a legendary figure of Gala - wife of Dali, Helena Diakonova, which became the heroine of many works of the master, his muse and soul mate. Visitors of this retrospective exhibition have a unique opportunity to see masterpieces and feel the unique surreal atmosphere of Dali's museum in Figueres.




Petrovsky Road Palace in Moscow is finally opened for tourists. 25.09.2011 22:27

Petrovsky Road Palace in Moscow opened his doors in March 2009 after 10 years of restoration works and now can be visited by organized guided groups as well.
Palace was built in 1775-1778 years by architect, Matvey Kazakov, under decree of Empress Catherine II. Petrovsky Road Palace is the most southern road palace on the route connecting Moscow and St.Petersburg, it was originally conceived as a residence for important people who could rest there after a long journey. Catherine the Great, stayed in the palace for the first time only in 1787. In 1797, Emperor Paul I- the son of Catherine the Great, stayed here before his coronation. Since then, the palace became a permanent spectator of official coronation ceremonies: on the road from St. Petersburg, all Russian monarchs stayed here before their coronation.
