27^th of May is an official date of the City Day in Sankt Petersburg, Russia. This year Sankt Petersburg is going to celebrate its 314th anniversary! If you are in our city or nearby you can have a chance to became a witness of this beautiful event.  

CLASSICS AT THE PALACE SQUARE (MAY 27, 21.00)

Traditionally, in honor of the founding of the Northern capital on the main square of the city will be held a large classical concert. The audience will enjoy the Opera and ballet to the accompaniment of a Symphony orchestra. the brightest stars of the contemporary Opera scene perfume on Palace Square from year to year, as well as the best St. Petersburg orchestras.

This year we expect to see the performances of the leading soloists of such theatres as "La Scala", "Covent garden", "Metropolitan Opera", the Paris and Vienna Opera. Of the renowned names in 2017: the soloist of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theatres Veronika Dzhioeva, soloist of the Bolshoi theatre of Russia Alexey Tatarintsev, Marcelo Alvarez, Sonya Yoncheva, Danielle de Niese and others.

THE TULIP FESTIVAL (MAY 27-28, ELAGIN ISLAND).

Another tradition of the spring in the Northern capital is the Tulip Festival. Anyone can enter the world of thousands of tulips that will be planted in the Park named after Kirov. Tulip Festival had to be postponed on the day of the city due to bad weather, which could destroy delicate flowers earlier.

GREEN MARATHON (MAY 28, PARK of 300th ANNIVERSARY of SANKT-PETERSBURG)

The "Green marathon" will unite Sport and charity. It will take place on the shore of the Finnish Gulf  in the Park of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. Athletes of all levels run the race. Spectators and funs will be entertained by a concert program. In the Park by teleconference, you will see the start of a Big Bike Race.
